William Delaney is an up and coming runner in New York State and a key young contributor for Rye Neck, Class of 2028, from Mamaroneck, New York. You see steady growth across cross country, indoor track, and speed development.
As a freshman and sophomore, Delaney built a strong foundation. In cross country, he raced consistently at the Section 1 level. His 5K dropped from 22:07 in 2024 to 19:08 at the 2025 Westchester County Championship. He followed with a 21:09 at the Section 1 Championship against deep regional fields. Over shorter courses, he ran 17:04 for 2.5 miles at the Bronxville Mega Dual and 21:30 at the League I Championships, showing strength across formats.
