Biography:

Troy Markle, class of 2025, at Old Bridge High School in New Jersey, has established himself as one of the top setters in the state's high school boys volleyball scene. Standing 6 feet tall, Troy's exceptional playmaking abilities have been instrumental in the Knights' impressive performances throughout his high school career.​

In the 2023-2024 season, Troy showcased his skills by recording 720 assists over 48 sets, averaging 15 assists per set. His contributions were pivotal in leading Old Bridge to a remarkable 32-0 record and securing a Group 4 State Championship. 

Beyond his high school achievements, Troy has committed to continuing his volleyball career at Fairleigh Dickinson University. His dedication and consistent performance have solidified his reputation as one of New Jersey's premier high school setters.

Old Bridge put together a strong all-around performance to defeat Monroe 2-0 in boys volleyball action. Oskar Lapinski led the charge with 6 kills and a block, while Troy Markle kept the offense flowing with 18 assists and had 11 service points.. Logan Fernandes also made a key impact, contributing with 5 kills and helping anchor Old Bridge’s consistent play. With solid execution and teamwork, Old Bridge continues to build momentum as the season has just started.

He was ready for the job and put together an All-State season that ended with 720 kills, which was fourth most in the state. He ran the offense well and distributed the ball flawlessly to a deep attack from Old Bridge. The Knights finished 32-0 and made a run to the Group 4 championship. Markle put up a season-high of 47 assists during a regular season victory over Southern. This was one of 23 games where he had 20 or more assists. Markle will return next season to lead Old Bridge and help the Knights defend their title.
