James Keneally, #83, is a dynamic two-way player for New Providence High School’s varsity football team, excelling at both tight end and defensive end. Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 240 pounds, James Keneally possesses an impressive physique well-suited for his roles as tight end and defensive end. 

In the 2024–2025 season, James has emerged as a pivotal force in the New Providence Pioneers' success. His physicality, athleticism, and football instincts have been well notice. On offense, he’s a dependable target with strong hands and a knack for finding open space, while also being a physical blocker in the run game. Defensively, James brings constant pressure off the edge, showing explosive bursts and a relentless motor that disrupts opposing backfields. His impact is felt on every snap, whether it’s making a clutch catch or delivering a key tackle. Beyond his on-field presence, James is known for his work ethic, team-first mentality, and leadership. GO RAMS  ”At New Providence High School, James Keneally has proven himself a force on both sides of the line of scrimmage.  His physical presence, leadership, and consistent play were major factors in New Providence’s undefeated regular season. James is widely recognized as one of the top recruits in the area.  Keneally drew attention for his size, athleticism, and two-way versatility. Rhode Island has a great kid heading their way.  Joining the URI Rams, Keneally will bring size (6′4″), versatility, and a team-first attitude to a program that competes in the Coastal Athletic Association Football Conference (CAA). The Rams posted an 11-3 record in 2024 and earned a postseason berth for the first time in decades. 2025 season, the Rams are looking good for another deep playoff run.  The University of Rhode Island Rams football team competes in the Division I FCS level within the CAA. The program has been building momentum under head coach Jim Fleming and aims to continue its upward trajectory into the 2025 season and beyond.

New Providence Completes Perfect Regular Season, Captures Patriot Silver Division Title Final: New Providence 32, Delaware Valley 7 Records: New Providence (8-0, 2-0 Big Central – Patriot Silver), Delaware Valley (5-4, 1-2 Big Central – Patriot Gold) New Providence finished its regular season unbeaten, rolling past Delaware Valley 32-7 to clinch the Big Central Conference Patriot Silver Division title. The Pioneers were sharp in all phases, scoring four first-half touchdowns to build a 26-0 lead by halftime. Quarterback Kevin Reilly led the offense with 137 passing yards, two touchdown throws, and a 37-yard rushing score. Jack Fitzgerald powered the ground game with 118 yards and two touchdowns, including a 71-yard sprint in the third quarter. Quentin Moore continued his strong season with four receptions for 104 yards and two touchdowns, while Drew Gullo added an 11-yard touchdown catch. Tight end James Keneally made one key 13-yard reception that extended a first-half drive and provided steady leadership on both sides of the ball. His physical play and composure set the tone for the Pioneers’ offense throughout the night. Defensively, New Providence controlled the line of scrimmage and limited Delaware Valley to just 80 rushing yards. Charles Maneely intercepted a pass, and both Fitzgerald and Gullo recorded sacks as the unit stayed disciplined and aggressive. Head coach Chet Parlavecchio credited his team’s toughness and balance. “This team has been getting better every week,” he said. “We’ve had injuries, but guys stepped up. Our physicality and defense are coming together at the right time.” With the win, New Providence completed a perfect 8-0 regular season and will enter the state playoffs as one of New Jersey’s top small-school programs, playing its best football of the year.
