Biography:
Emarie Jackson, Class of 2024, is a distinguished track and field athlete specializing in throwing events. Hailing from Greensburg, Indiana, Emarie attends Greensburg High School in Greensburg. During her high school career, Emarie achieved remarkable success in both shot put and discus. In May 2024, she recorded a shot put throw of 50 feet 2.2 inches during the East Central Girls IHSAA Sectional, becoming only the fourth female athlete in Indiana state history to surpass the 50-foot mark.
Emarie's prowess was further highlighted at the New Balance Nationals Outdoor in June 2023, where she clinched the national title in the shot put with a winning throw of 47 feet 9.25 inches. She also achieved a personal best in the discus at the same event, throwing 153 feet 11 inches to finish fifth.
