West Milford earned its first win of the season with a 2–0 sweep over Indian Hills on Monday, September 8. The Highlanders controlled both sets, 25–14 and 25–10, improving to 1–2 while Indian Hills fell to 0–4.
West Milford’s strong serving and balanced attack proved decisive. Alexa Fritz led with 3 kills, 1 block, and 2 aces. Alyssa Kral added 2 kills, 1 block, and 3 aces, while Sienna Franklin and Skylar Locke combined for 3 kills, 6 digs, and 4 aces. Setter Peyton Greenberg set the tone throughout the match. She handed out 18 assists, keeping the offense in rhythm, while also adding 2 kills, 2 digs, and an ace. Her consistency and decision-making spread the ball effectively to multiple hitters, giving West Milford balance at the net.
For Indian Hills, Sarah Cerchio tallied 2 kills and 2 aces, while Gabby LiButti contributed 4 assists and 2 aces. Mackenzie Cipriani and Anna Tompetrini each chipped in 2 kills and a block.
West Milford’s depth showed with contributions across the lineup and 10 total aces fueling the sweep.
