Old Tappan stayed unbeaten with a 4-3 overtime win over Ridgewood on Thursday afternoon.
Elena Pothos opened the scoring for the Golden Knights, but Ridgewood answered with two goals from Lilli Granert to take a 2-1 lead after the first period. Pothos struck again in the second to tie it, and Taylor Chisholm followed with a go-ahead goal before Gabriella Winn knotted the game at 3-3 heading into the third.
Neither team scored in regulation, setting up overtime. Caroline Ognibene delivered the game-winner off an assist from Nina Caunedo to secure the win for Old Tappan.
Pothos finished with two goals, while Ognibene and Chisholm added one each. Goalie Lea Savino recorded eight saves. For Ridgewood, Granert led the way with two goals and Winn added one. Goalie Emily Grathwohl had two saves.
Old Tappan improved to 3-0, while Ridgewood fell to 2-2.
