Digs 17 Red delivered a strong Sunday showing at GEVA Volleyball Tournament
Round 1 set the tone.
Digs 17 Red defeated CORE Girls 17 Platinum, Sideout 17N Stan, and CALI 17 Blue. The team went 3-0 in matches and 6-0 in sets, finishing pool play undefeated at 100 percent with a 1.520 rating. The team controlled serve receive, won long rallies, and dictated tempo from the back row.
In Round 2 cross over play, Digs 17 Red stayed sharp. A 1-0 win over Prodigy 17.1 Premier advanced the team cleanly, again without dropping a set.
Overall, Digs 17 Red paired elite defense with dominant offense and disciplined serving. Serving applied constant pressure. Servers attacked seams and zones with purpose. Tough floats disrupted timing. Aggressive serves forced free balls and out of system swings. Opponents rarely settled into clean offensive rhythm. The hitting set the tone. Attackers scored with pace and range. Pins terminated quickly. Middles stayed active in transition. Once the offense found rhythm, points came in bunches. Setters ran a flawless offense. Location stayed consistent. Tempo stayed fast. Every hitter stayed involved. The ball arrived on time and in system, which allowed hitters to stay aggressive without forcing shots.
Defense fed the offense. Great digs extended rallies and created transition swings. Those plays often ended with clean kills because the setting stayed precise.
Power at the net. Precision in the hands. Digs 17 Red controlled the day from start to finish.
